KITTEN "KOUNTDOWN"
Is One on the Way?
It's Day Three of the Museum's watch for an ocelot kitten! On loan from the Brooklyn Zoo, a female ocelot spent several weeks with the resident male in hopes of the first ocelot birth at the Desert Museum since 1993. The breeding is part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums American Species Survival Plan (SSP) program, which also includes the Desert Museum's Bighorn Sheep.
