Plants, and Music, and Food Trucks, Oh My!

This year's Plant Sale is bigger and better than ever! The Botany department has put together a fantastic variety of plants to beautify your garden, including many varieties that have never been offered before. This amazing event also includes expert advice, a brand new plant valet to safeguard your plants while you visit the Museum, local food trucks, and music! Members have access to a special preview day on September 26 with the best choice of plants and a 10% discount. If you're not a member yet, there's still time to join for the early access! FALL CLASS OFFERINGS
Study Insects and Natural History with the Museum
Fall isn't just back to school for the younger set- the Museum has classes to tempt you into the classroom. Want to meet the most diverse group of animals on the planet? Sign up for Intro to Insects  on October 4 to learn about beautiful and complex arthropods. You'll have an exciting entomological Saturday! Perennial favorite Natural History of the Sonoran Desert returns October 18 and 19, offering an overview of desert ecology, climate, mammals, birds, reptiles, venomous animals, botany, geology, and ethnobotany. The class also features a variety of instructors and a Sunday morning botany hike.
NEW TOURS FOR FALL
Expanded Offerings Begin October 1
Beginning October 1, see the Desert Museum in an entirely new way! The Museum's team of expert docents will be offering an expanded and updated schedule of tours that are sure to delight. For an introduction to the desert, embark on the Desert Discovery Tour. This overview will be offered three times daily: 9:00 am, 10:45 am, and 2:45 pm. When you're ready to delve deeper, learn about the region's food and fiber traditions with Living off the Sonoran Desert, offered daily at 1:00 pm. You'll want to experience them both!
