FIESTA DE FIN DE VERANO
Goodbye to Summer-Sept. 5th
Tesoro
Before fall sneaks in, we're wrapping up summer with a huge party-Fiesta style! Popular Latin performers Tesoro, Eduardo Costa, Los Changuitos Feos and Ballet Fólklorico Tapatío headline an evening packed with live animal presentations, guided tours and educational docent stations. In celebration of our Hispanic heritage, events are presented in Spanish and English. ¡Alla nos vemos!
VULTURE CULTURE
Join the Committee!
Turkey Vulture
A group of vultures is called a committee- a meeting that will soon be an everyday event at the Desert Museum's new exhibit! An educational and interactive experience, Vulture Culture features the Sonoran Desert's Black Vulture and the Turkey Vulture. Which  is longer - your outstretched arms or the vulture's wingspan? Compare at a life-size wingspan sculpture. Opens Dec. 2015!
ANNUAL PLANT SALE
Plants That Know the Desert
Desert gardening can be a challenge - temperatures from freezing to 100+ degrees, sun exposure, caliche and alkaline soil. Our experts meet these challenges every day and can help you select from plants adapted to our climate. Shop for decorative pots and pick up one of ASDM's horticultural books. We'll pot your plant for free and send you home with care instructions. Sept. 27th.
