GALLERY UNVEILS NEW EXHIBITION
Scratchboard Exhibit Opens Tomorrow
Opening tomorrow in the newly remodeled Ironwood Gallery: The Scratchboard Art of John Agnew. On display will be 20 beautiful scratchboards with their corresponding preparatory sketches.
Check out this illustrative technique that uses sharp tools to etch into a thin layer of white China clay that has been coated with black India ink. Agnew's scratchboards are among the very best examples of artists working in the medium today. His crocodile illustrations have inspired an accompanying gallery display of crocodilian skulls and fossil replicas: Crocodilians of the World: Past and Present. Learn more
