Rehiring Team Members


Inactive accounts for terminated Team Members are now being archived at the end of each month. This means if you rehire someone, their previously completed training will no longer be reflected in The Porch upon rehire. If their date of termination was less than 3 months prior to rehire, the do not have to re-complete training. Instead send an email to training@slimchickens.com with the following information:


  • First and Last Name of Rehire
  • Date of Birth
  • Restaurant Location
  • Date of Termination


Our team will then see what training was completed by the user prior to termination and force pass those modules on The Porch.

Liquid Garlic Butter


With the recent transition to Liquid Garlic Butter, sandwich and toast recipes have been updated to reflect the new procedure. Updated recipes can be found on The Porch and are linked below.


Brownie Recipe Changes


We are rolling out a new pudding to replace the canned chocolate pudding. This change will eliminate the need for a can opener and provide more consistent availability. With this change also comes an update to the Jar Dessert: Brownie Recipe.


The updated recipe can be found on The Porch under Slim's Recipes > Desserts or click here to view the updated recipe.


Some distribution centers will begin transitioning to this new product now and all OPCOs will transition to the new pudding by August 14, 2023. For more information on the new pudding product, read this one-sheeter.

Nashville Hot Butter


Wings shaken in Nashville Hot should use Nashville Hot Butter, just like the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. The POS has been updated to reflect this change and will now state "Nashville Hot Butter". The KDS will now reflect by showing the shaken flavor to be "Nash Hot Butter". Here are the results for Week 8 of the Summer Drive Thru Challenge. We had 42 restaurants beat their baseline for week 8, a new high!


Ten restaurants beat their drive thru baseline by more than 10% last week! The top restaurants, all with five entries into the weekly drawing: Cullman (Simply Slims), Sioux Falls #3 (TNT), Amarillo (C&G), Callaway, Navarre, and Pensacola (NFRG), Fargo, Minot, and Williston (Preferred Development), and Tulsa (AP Restaurants)!


We also had 10 restaurants that increased their Drive Thru Car Counts by more than 5%.

DTC WEEK 8 DRAWING WINNERS

It’s time for the July Top of the Top Drawing! Each month during the contest we will draw winners from the restaurants that beat their highest volume Drive Thru Hour. We had 102 entries from 39 restaurants that topped their best Drive Thru Hour during the month of July. Here are the restaurants with five or more entries into the drawing: Centennial (Mile High Chicken), Champaign (RSolution), Fort Cavazos (AAFES), Irving (Slim Bros.), Fort Mill (Break Bread), Ft. Leonard Wood (AAFES).
