Physician Satisfaction with EMRs Higher At Stage 7 Hospitals A report from HIMSS Analytics and KLAS Research revealed that hospitals that earned Stage 7 recognition on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model were more likely to have physicians with an above average EMR user experience. Researchers also found that physicians at Stage 7 hospitals were more likely to agree with some statements that describe the benefits of an EMR system, compared with those at Stage 6 hospitals. ICD Registry

ICD Registry seeks feedback on AUC Metrics As part of ongoing efforts to collect meaningful data and improve patient care, the ACC is launching an  open comment period  on appropriate use criteria metrics for the ICD Registry Version 2.2. The AUC include two patient populations: patients receiving ICDs and patients receiving cardiac resynchronization therapy and were developed based on guideline documents created by the ACC Appropriate Use Task Force, in partnership with other medical societies. Please review the guideline document and draft metric display document before completing the survey. The survey should take approximately 30 minutes to complete, including time to review the related documents, and will close on Monday, May 20.

NCDR Research to be Highlighted at ACC.19

 Several abstracts b ased on NCDR data  will be presented at ACC.19, March 16 to 18, in New Orleans, La. Research topics include racial differences in 30-day AMI readmissions, sex-based differences in outcomes after transcatheter mitral valve repair, and neighborhood care variations for coronary artery disease among outpatient practices.
