Hello Ken,

Summer is here!! As you head to the beach/national park/napping couch, I want to check-in before you unplug from APS for the next two months. I hope you find a few moments for rest and reflection because summer just doesn't feel as long as it used to...

Let's get to the updates:

  • June Board Meeting: Monday, June 2 at 2:30 pm. The work session includes a strategic plan update, a year-end review, along with a district progress report on numeracy. Here is the agenda.
  • Proposed Start Date Change for the 2025-26 School Year: To improve attendance and ensure the school year ends before Memorial Day, the Board is considering altering next year's calendar at our meeting on Monday. The specific proposal is here.

Bask in the glow of graduation all summer long

Special congratulations to District 3 families who were a part of the largest graduating classes in school history (Drew HS, Jackson HS, Midtown HS & North Atlanta HS). Relive the magic by re-watching all the live stream videos and check out my appreciation for the Midtown HS Class of 2025.
