2025 is here! I hope you had a few moments to recharge these last few weeks. Whether you traveled or just enjoyed some time in the ATL watching football/Wicked/Moana 2, the second semester is right around the corner. Keep in mind that Monday, January 6 is a teacher workday so the first day back is Tuesday, January 7.
Here are the updates:
January Board Meeting: Tuesday, January 7 at 2:30 pm. The work session includes a review of the district's equity strategy, a financial report, and of course, a progress monitoring update for schools that require additional support. The complete agenda is here.
Appointment to Fill Seat 6 Vacancy:Congratulations to Eshe Collins on her election to the Atlanta City Council. The Atlanta Board of Education is required to appoint a successor to fill her unexpired term. That selection process is expected to conclude with an appointment shortly before the January Board Meeting.
