Women Leading PAMED: Highlighting Board Leadership During Women’s History Month

In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Pennsylvania Medical Society is highlighting the leadership of three physicians serving in key roles on the PAMED Board of Trustees. Lorraine Rosamilia, MD, FAAD Board Chair; Ashley Wilkerson, MD Board Vice Chair; and Renee Frank, MD Board Secretary each bring a distinct professional background and personal perspective to their work on behalf of physicians across the Commonwealth. Their experiences in clinical practice, patient advocacy, and medical education inform the decisions they help guide at PAMED and reflect the diverse strengths women leaders contribute to organized medicine.

Governor's Office Issues Immigration Enforcement Advisory

Under the current federal administration, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (U.S. DHS) has lifted restrictions that previously prohibited Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers from carrying out immigration enforcement actions, including arrests, in protected areas such as medical and behavioral health care facilities and social services establishments. It is now possible that U.S. DHS may attempt to conduct immigration enforcement activities in these settings.

Save the Date: Independent Practice Summit – June 19

Calling all independent practice physicians, we’ve got something you won’t want to miss! Join colleagues from across the state for a day focused on what matters most to independent physicians, including connecting with trusted partners to strengthen your practice, earning CME through sessions tailored to today’s operational, ethical, and clinical challenges, and networking with peers who understand the rewards and pressures of practicing independent medicine.

Dr. Cavale’s initiative aims to provide Pennsylvanian physicians with resources and infrastructure to create a fulfilling patient-central health care system. Visit the presidential initiative page to learn more.
