Issue #85, July 2022 Recap

I am pleased to announce the promotion of Julian Galgoczy to the position of Director of Worldwide User Success, SOLIDWORKS, reporting to me. In this capacity, Julian will be responsible for the worldwide SOLIDWORKS Technical Support teams as well as Customer Success & Enterprise Services, Training, and Certification teams. Julian is based in the SOLIDWORKS headquarters on the DS Boston Campus in Waltham, USA.

Julian joined DS in 2001 as a SOLIDWORKS Technical Support Engineer, where his tenacity in troubleshooting even the most technically demanding problems and willingness to mentor others led to promotions of increased seniority on a technical career path. His desire to help others grow led to Julian changing to a management career path, where he has subsequently held a number of leadership positions in the SOLIDWORKS Technical Support team of increased scope and responsibility.

Most recently, Julian has led the Waltham-based SOLIDWORKS User Success team. In addition to his management duties, Julian is spearheading several strategic initiatives. This includes the transformation from supporting SOLIDWORKS desktop solutions to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform roles. He is additionally leading the Support project to migrate all SOLIDWORKS customers and channel partners from our Siebel CRM system to DSx.Client Care. In this capacity, he is ensuring that channel partner support organizations will be able to effectively interact with DS support teams so that we can collectively ensure our mutual customers are successful in meeting their business objectives.

One little-known fact about Julian is that, prior to joining DS, he won the Model Mania contest at an early SOLIDWORKS World while working for a customer. Please join me in wishing him well in his new role.
