WORCESTER, MAThe Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with inThink Agency, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.downtownworcester.org

The BID seeks to establish and sustain a vibrant, welcoming, and economically and culturally viable Downtown Worcester for all. The organization invests in, coordinates, and promotes improvements and activities to attract more people Downtown, generate more business activity, and elevate the overall experience for everyone within the Downtown area.

The BID’s new website is reimagined for user accessibility, more straightforward navigation, and a streamlined presentation of information. The site is an excellent place to learn about events, local businesses, attractions, parking, news, and more.

According to Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District Executive Director Evelyn Darling, “We’re very proud to unveil this new website. We believe it will serve as the ‘go-to’ place for visitors, businesses, students, and residents alike to find a reliable, collective source of activities, news, and information for Downtown Worcester.”

A long-desired aspect of the new website is an events calendar that features performances, concerts, exhibits, classes, festivals, and other activities in Downtown Worcester. The BID partnered with Discover Central Massachusetts to develop the calendar. It displays all Downtown Worcester events from the Central Massachusetts visitors bureau’s online events calendar. Users can view events by day, look at events for an entire month, or search by keyword.

The new website features maps of restaurants, retail services, cultural attractions, public art, and historical sites – making it a true one-stop shop for anyone exploring Downtown Worcester. For visitors, the website includes a comprehensive “Plan Your Visit” section, which offers information about getting to Worcester, getting around, places to stay, suggested itineraries, and parking information, including a map of Downtown parking garages.

Business owners also can use the new website to locate and connect with Downtown resources, including business and community development resources, demographic and customer data, occupancy reports, COVID-19 resources, recovery plans for Downtown, and more.

Interested parties can visit the new website at downtownworcester.org.
