Sense and Sensibility - March 16, 2018 - Sense and Sensibility is Jane Austen’s classic tale of the Dashwood sisters as they face a change in their station. As their family weathers this change, the sisters face seduction, courtship, love, heartbreak, and surprises at the hands of the shy Edward Ferras, the steadfast Colonel Brandon, and the dashing John Willoughby. Aquila Theatre is a small repertory theater with a talent for adapting classic literature for the stage. They have previously performed The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Wuthering Heights in Idaho Falls. Because of the small number of actors on tour, that are also performing another play, some roles cast in unique, but thoughtful ways.
In conjunction with the show, Almacks Historic Dance Society will be offering Regency era dance lessons prior to the show from 6-7pm at the Willard Arts Center. Dates are not required and registration is $7.50 or $5 for members of IFAC or Almacks. More information here.

‘Cosi Fan Tutte’ - Presented by Idaho Falls Opera Theater - April 6, 7, & 9, 2018 - 7pm • Colonial Theater - "Cosi Fan Tutte" is one of the world's great comic operas, filled with Mozart's marvelous music and a delightful story. Don Alfonso, a cynical bachelor, enters into a bet with his two young friends, soldiers who are engaged to sisters, as to whether or not any woman can be faithful. The young soldiers fervently defend the honor of their fiancés and gladly enter into the bet as to whether this is true. Season Finale will be a concert like never before: “Double Orchestra: Bolero!” brings together the Idaho Falls Symphony and the Idaho State Civic Symphony on the same concert. We will combine forces into an oversized, double orchestra, with players from both orchestras sitting together and playing great music as a single entity. The concert will be presented in Pocatello on Friday night and in Idaho Falls on Saturday night, with a program of great masterworks that includes Ravel’s Bolero and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture!

Field of Honor Memorial hosted by the Idaho Falls Exchange Club will feature 1,000 large US flags flying atop 8’ poles in perfect rows leading uphill to the Vietnam War Memorial in Freeman Park on May 26-28. This is a great opportunity to salute a veteran, first responder, unknown soldier, child abuse victim or any hero of your choice by sponsoring a flag in their name at . Net proceeds will be used to support the prevention of child abuse, local veteran’s groups and crime prevention. Ceremonies, fly-overs and music will be played throughout the weekend event. Open to the public.
