The energy and enthusiasm at Cristo Rey Orlando’s first Open House were truly inspiring! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with prospective students and families, and the event exceeded our expectations in every way.

This success would not have been possible without your dedication and support! Thank you for your contributions, whether through planning, promotion, or sharing our mission with your networks. Your commitment is helping us build a strong foundation for Cristo Rey Orlando.

As we press on toward our fall opening, we look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of admissions and our upcoming initiatives. Together, we are making a lasting difference in the lives of students and families in our community.

Thank you for being a part of this exciting journey!

We loved welcoming families to our first Open House and seeing their excitement about the opportunities ahead. Their enthusiasm is a reminder of the impact your support will have on their futures. Thank you for helping us make this vision come to life. Together, we are creating a brighter future for our students and our community.

We are excited to welcome Sr. Mary Rachel and Edna Cedano to the Cristo Rey Orlando team! Their passion, dedication, and expertise will play a vital role in furthering our mission to provide a transformative educational experience for our students.

As our new campus minister and representative of our religious sponsor, she will be instrumental in nurturing the vibrant faith life of our school community.

With experience in campus ministry at both the university and high school levels, Sr. Mary Rachel is passionate about serving students, families, and staff, fostering a community grounded in love, truth, life, and solidarity.

Originally from the Tampa Bay area, Sr. Mary Rachel holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida and an MA in Theology with a concentration in Sacred Scriptures from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Her unique combination of academic and spiritual formation will bring a dynamic perspective to our school.

Edna Cedano

Her experience in fostering relationships and community engagement will be invaluable as she helps cultivate a welcoming environment and enhance our admissions process.

Edna is eager to contribute to Cristo Rey Orlando’s mission, stating, “It is a true privilege to have the opportunity to serve families and help build a brighter future for generations to come. I am deeply committed to the mission of Cristo Rey Orlando, where students have the chance to grow both professionally and spiritually. Cristo Rey Orlando is a place that nurtures the growth of the whole person, and I am honored to be a part of this transformative mission.”

Please join us in welcoming Sr. Mary Rachel and Edna Cedano as they embark on this exciting new journey with us!

We are proud to announce the addition of new members to the Cristo Rey Orlando Board of Directors!

• Joe Morse - CEO, OutcomeRx
• Garrett Burke - Managing Director, Private Wealth Advisor, The Burke Cox Group

Each of these accomplished individuals brings a wealth of expertise, leadership, and a shared passion for our mission of transforming the lives of students through faith-based, career-focused education. Their collective wisdom and experience will guide Cristo Rey Orlando as we continue to grow and empower our students to achieve excellence both in the classroom and beyond.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our new Board members as they begin their vital work with Cristo Rey Orlando!

Our founding board of directors recently attended their first retreat, joined by our dedicated Cristo Rey Orlando staff members. This powerful gathering was an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and deepening our commitment to the mission of Cristo Rey. We were blessed to have Fr. Leo Hodges from St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pine Hills and Fr. Jim Gartland, the Cristo Rey Network’s Chief Mission and Identity Officer, as our retreat leaders. The Sisters from the Servants of the Pierced Hearts beautifully concluded the retreat by leading us in adoration and prayer. A heartfelt thank you to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for graciously hosting our retreat, and to The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation for sponsoring and hosting our meeting. Their hospitality and support encourages us as we continue to come together in faith to bring God's kingdom to life on earth, as it is in heaven.

Cristo Rey Orlando High School is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team as we prepare to welcome our founding class in 2025! This is an extraordinary opportunity to be part of a mission-driven community committed to providing students with a transformative educational experience that integrates rigorous academics, professional work-study opportunities, and faith-based values.

If you’re ready to be part of this groundbreaking journey and help lay the foundation for generations of student success, we’d love to hear from you! Visit our website to learn more about these roles.

We are thrilled to give you a sneak peek into the construction of our chapel at Cristo Rey Orlando! This sacred space will be a place where students, faculty, and staff can come together to pray, reflect, and grow closer to Jesus. Rooted in faith, the chapel will be a welcoming environment for all who seek to strengthen the foundation of faith that guides everything we do. In this video, you'll also meet Sr. Mary Rachel, our campus minister, and learn about the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the religious community guiding our spiritual journey. We offer a special THANK YOU to Ernie and Mary Wilding who have sponsored the items needed inside our sacred space.

United in the love of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the Cristo Rey Orlando High School family affirms that we are:

What an incredible gift it is that we have each been created by God who loves us! In the Scriptures we read, “God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them” (Gen 1:27). Since we have been created by God in His image and likeness, our hearts have an innate desire for God, and can only find our deepest happiness in Him. “The desire for God is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw man to himself. Only in God will he find the truth and happiness he never stops searching for” (CCC, 27). From all eternity, God planned to create each of us to exist here and now. May we respond to this gift by each faithfully being the unique image of His love and goodness that we have been created to be.

"Man’s happiness and fulfillment is to know that he is loved by God.

Man’s happiness is to know that he is loved by his Father and his Creator."
