Employee Spotlight!

We want to congratulate Mary Beth Kingsley, a Senior Project Manager, for receiving her Crestcom Leadership Certification! She had to attend a monthly four-hour class for a year and learned what it takes to be a leader. We are proud of her for achieving this certification and proud that she is taking these extra steps to become a great leader.

We wanted to take the time to thank and recognize Septimus Cummings, who retired last Friday, for his hard work and dedication! He has worked for Shapiro & Duncan for 18 years as a mechanic in our construction department. He has been a valuable member of our team and came to work with a positive attitude every day. We appreciate everything he has done for us and wish him the best.

Congratulations to Jerry Freeman on his retirement after 14 years with us! He has been a valued member of the IT Team here at Shapiro & Duncan, and his contributions have been invaluable. His diligence and determination have not gone unnoticed. His positive attitude and willingness to help shows that he has gone above and beyond for Shapiro & Duncan. Four years ago, the Shapiro & Duncan family lost their CEO, Sheldon Shapiro.

Sheldon will always be remembered for his leadership, sense of humor, and kindness. His legacy lives on through all he has mentored and The Sheldon Shapiro Foundation, which supports future professionals with training and educational scholarships. It supports local causes near and dear to his heart. Sheldon’s desire to assist others was evident in his everyday actions and will live on through the Foundation for generations to come.
