This informal workshop is intended to highlight the position of department chair (head) and its relationship to upper administration, faculty, staff, students and alumni.
We are looking forward to a productive session led by John Papapolymerou and Noah Schmitz, based on their combined experience of more than 20 years in leading and managing their respective departments in academia and industry.
The afternoon is intended to elicit discussion and sharing of best practices that may be of particular interest to new department chairs/heads.
