Dear EDGE Community,

It has been a pleasure seeing so many of you focusing on your health and wellbeing with us in our newly designed facilities since June. We know exercise is crucial during these difficult times. Over the past six months we have taken great pride in the health and safety standards we have put forward and the work our staff has done to create the best and safest environment possible.

As Governor Scott and Dr. Levine announced in the press conference Friday, November 13th, Vermont is seeing an increase of Covid-19 cases throughout the state. We are dedicated to helping in the fight against this virus. We are pleased that The EDGE will be able to continue to remain open under the new guidance issued with some temporary changes put in place.

The EDGE announces effective Sunday, November 15th a temporary pause of the following areas which will assist in the reduction of out-of-household interactions and abide by the mandate issued by The State of Vermont:

  • The EDGE Swim Club - pausing all in-person practices and meets. Alternative offerings, including virtual workouts, are being discussed and assessed- we will have more details soon.
  • Tennis & Pickleball Leagues - Program directors will be in touch with alternative options for individuals currently enrolled in these programs. Please note this only impacts leagues and tournaments; member play, lessons and clinics will continue.

We will continue to offer the following services in conjunction with the important changes below:
  • Weight and Cardio Centers
  • Lap pools with individual reservations
  • Program pools with individual/household reservations
  • Tennis and Pickleball
  • Group Swim Lessons
  • Group Tennis Lessons
  • Group Exercise Classes
  • Parisi Speed School
  • Personal Training
  • Private Swim Lessons
  • Private Tennis Lessons
  • Private Pickleball Lessons
  • Contract Tennis
  • Physical Therapy
  • Preventative Care/Nutritional Counseling/Virtual Commit to Get Fit Classes
  • Kids & Fitness Childcare

Important Changes
  • All activities are Arrive, Play, Leave.
  • While the state is allowing tennis and pickleball to be played with people outside of your household, they are requiring households to remain separated. What does this mean? This means, arrive, play and leave with no socialization before, after or during play. All households must maintain a 6 foot distance and arrive and leave in separate groups.

Mask Policy
With the increase in area Covid-19 and the strong belief of putting community health first, The EDGE will be requiring masks at all times starting Monday, November 16th. The only exception to this rule will be for those swimming.
We are joining “best practice” clubs from around the country have instituted “masks at all times” policies in an effort to safeguard staff and members. I know this may be disappointing to some however we remain committed to providing our members with a club that is built on health & safety as the highest priority.
We will continue to assess this policy over the coming weeks based on government directive and public health standards.

We sincerely appreciate your support in these guideline changes.
