HHS Just Launched Federal IDR Portal; Disputes Already Eligible for IDR Must Be Initiated within 15 Days

Last week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched the Federal Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) Portal. When available, you should be able to access the Federal IDR portal here.

After a victory by the Texas Medical Association in the No Surprises Act-based litigation, HHS made a February 28, 2022 announcement that, because of delayed implementation guidance and IDR development due to the litigation, disputes that became eligible for Federal IDR would be granted an expanded window in which parties could initiate IDR.

Solutions Summit Registration Closes on Wednesday, April 20

Due to strict security measures required by the Omni Amelia Island, we will not be able to offer onsite registration. In addition, the Omni requires anyone who is staying off property to be added in advance to EDPMA’s guest list to be granted access to the property. This is regardless of registration status and includes guests. Again, this is an Omni security policy, and not an EDPMA policy. 

If you are staying off property, please forward your name, company and email/phone number to [email protected] by April 20 to be added to EDPMA’s guest list to ensure you can be admitted at the hotel gate. If you have guests joining you onsite, please directly notify the Omni hotel at (904) 261-6161. The Omni Amelia Island is sold out, so consider staying at a nearby hotel.

If you are unable to proceed past the Omni security gate to attend Solutions Summit 2022, please call 703-506-7675, EDPMA HQ’s main line. EDPMA staff will monitor this phone line daily from 8 AM EDT to 8 PM EDT from April 20 through 27. No security requests will be granted after 8 PM EDT. If you have already registered for the Solutions Summit, please disregard this message.
