Hi everyone!
As we get ready to spend time with family and celebrate the holidays, we want to share a little “EFNEP Bite” 😉 from our Fuel for Life curriculum.
One of the activities in this curriculum encourages us to think about how our food choices affect our feelings. Food isn’t just about right or wrong; everyone has different needs, food environments, and preferences that shape how we eat. This program teaches us to be aware of how food impacts our well-being, helping us become healthier both physically and mentally. While some foods are more nutritious, labeling foods as “good” or “bad” can lead to stress and anxiety around eating. This judgment can take away the joy of food and create unhealthy habits. It’s important to understand that some foods nourish our bodies, while others nourish our souls. The key is to find a balance and avoid judging ourselves or others for what we eat.
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season!
