Guidelines for Receiving Communion
All who seek Christ are welcome at the Lord’s Table at the Celebration of Holy Eucharist at Saint Thomas. Due to ongoing concerns about Covid during this time, the wine is offered by intinction only.
After receiving the bread, when the chalice bearer presents the chalice, please dip the edge of the wafer into the wine. Please remember that you receive the full benefits of communion if you choose only to receive the bread.
If you prefer to receive a blessing, please cross your arms over your chest. Again, welcome to the Table.

SECURITY
Video surveillance cameras are in place throughout the church to provide 24-hour security for our building and property.
These were installed following several break-ins at the church, in addition to the key fob access system so we may monitor who gains access to the building during off hours.

JULY SILVER SAINTS MOVIE MATINEE
After last’s month’s most special Silver Saints Matinee Movie, we are challenged to view one of similar strength and intensity in August. So, we are offering “A Walk in the Clouds,” with Keanu Reeves and Anthony Quinn.
This movie is romantic with drama and humor blended in, a perfect follow-on.

It is the story of a soldier returning home from World War II as he meets a family who is in the wine business. Come join us in the St. Thomas Parish Hall at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 21.
The Silver Saints Movie Matinee offers fun and fellowship with our parishioners and visitors much like going to a theater, but with no fee. We offer snacks and beverages, and we will even pick you up and return you home if you wish. We offer comfortable seating and a time-out break half way through the movie. Please bring your friends and ask people from our neighborhood.
Call Jack or Becky Stokes at 256-881-4748, or the church office at 256-880-0247. Please call 24 hours ahead if you will need a ride. Please come join us.
