SCHOOL BACKPACKS AND SUPPLIES
Again this year, the Little Free Pantry will distribute backpacks and supplies to elementary school students the week prior to school.
Last year we handed out 25 backpacks with an overwhelmingly positive response from the community. This year we hope to double that number! WE NEED YOUR HELP!
You can donate a backpack or money, if you choose. Backpacks can be placed in the Little Red Wagon in Information Hall. Money can be given to Irene earmarked for “Backpacks”. This can be done individually or with your church group such as Bible Study, Cursillo, Flower Guild, etc. We will fill the backpacks with supplies required by the school. We plan to hand out the backpacks on Thursday July 25th, and Friday July 26th (as supplies last). We invite anyone who wishes to join us as we hand them out. It is a heartwarming experience!
If you have any questions or wish to join us handing out backpacks, contact Debbie Harriman at 256-509-6606 or dharriman5817@gmail.com.
