THANK YOU...FROM A PARISHIONER

A Sincere Thank You...

I don't know where I'd be without your loving support and caring ways, St. Thomas. It warms my heart to tell my friends what a wonderful church family I have. Your cards, thoughts, calls, food, and of course prayers helped me through the loss of my beloved Dick. You are such a blessing and a gift in my life. Thank you, Kay Strobel

ONGOING

"Our Journeys with Jesus": Adult Christian Formation Class with our New Rector continues THIS SUNDAY

Our new Rector is inviting everyone to come and get to know him better in his Adult Christian Formation class, "Our Journeys with Jesus" each Sunday, at 9:30am, continuing through February 5th. This class will be a wonderful way to get to find out so much more about Donavan and to compare your own walk with Jesus with Donavan's life, ministry, and understanding of church, Bible, and the spiritual life.

Attention All Budding Breakfast Cooks:

We all enjoy sharing breakfast on Sunday mornings with our fellow parishioners, but the meals do not magically appear in our kitchen. We have several groups that graciously volunteer their talents throughout the year to provide these meals, but they cannot cook every Sunday. We are looking for volunteers to form a team and take on this rewarding task once or twice this year. There are several dates available to show off your culinary skills. All teams are welcome. Please contact George Harriman at [email protected] or call at 256-509-6666 if you feel you can help.

New “Children’s Moment” EVERY SUNDAY!

In order to incorporate children into our Sunday morning worship every Sunday, Fr. Donavan will present a new 5 minute “Children’s Message” to the 10:30 Eucharist, that will happen just before the sermon. Each Sunday, the procession to the Children’s Chapel will not begin until just after the Gospel is read. At that point, as the Gospel book is being returned to the altar, a short children’s hymn will be played and Miss Laura Beth will invite the children who usually attend Children’s Chapel to come to the front of the church and be seated in front of the altar. There, Fr. Donavan, will offer a special “Children’s Message” to our kiddos. When the message is finished, the music will begin again, and the children will follow Miss Laura Beth to Children’s Chapel, to be returned during the Peace.

Keep "Cookie Talk" Alive!

We need your help to keep the refreshments coming on Sundays following the 10:30AM service. Please sign up for a Sunday to bring homemade cookies or store-bought sweet treats for a Sunday in order that we can spend a few minutes gathering after worship. Please sign up HERE using Sign-Up Genius or use the poster in Information Hall. Thank you for helping us keep this vital part of our parish thriving!

Treble Choir rehearsals, Sundays at 3:30
