$2.125M awarded to Colorado Mountain College

CMC has been awarded a $2.125 million, five-year grant through the U.S. Department of Education’s highly competitive Strengthening Institutions Program. SIP is intended to expand colleges’ capacity to serve low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen academic quality, institutional management and fiscal stability.

These funds will enable the college to launch a fundraising initiative to build three nursing simulation labs in Glenwood Springs, Breckenridge and Steamboat Springs.

CMC graduate photo portfolios showcased online

Because CMC’s graduating professional photography students couldn’t experience the program’s in-person public portfolio review last spring, they are using “Digital Gallery” to showcase their portfolios online. Curated by the CMC Photography Club, the interactive, online exhibit will be available indefinitely for viewing by all members of the public. Photo: Maggie Allen by Hannah Johnson, CMC graduate.
