Part of being academically successful is the ability of our students to be emotionally and socially prepared each day to deal with the demands of being child. Here at CCA our team has created Buddy Walks to help support the needs of our students so they can be academically ready each day.

Buddy Walks serve as a mentoring opportunity between a middle school Peer Helper and an elementary grade student. The focus of each Buddy Walk is tailored to the elementary student's needs. Walks have focused on things ranging from serving as a
sensory break for students to problem solving to an opportunity for positive peer interaction. Peer Helpers are trained in active listening skills, problem solving, and empathy and put these skills to good use on their walks. The relationship building that occurs during these walks helps to foster a positive sense of community and social emotional wellbeing within the school.
We want to congratulate CCA’s Mathletes on an amazing performance on one of our recent competitions: The Colorado Math League. Saksham finished 23rd and Sanvi finished 18th out of ALL of the 6th graders that competed in the state of Colorado. In 7th grade we had David finish 33rd, Impa finish 23rd and Naren finish 17th. We are very proud of all of our Mathletes who competed and represented CCA with great results!

In preparation of Teacher Appreciation week May 6 - 10, the Colorado League of Charter School is working hard to elevate the voices of charter school teachers while bringing awareness to others that charter schools are an important part of the public school landscape in Colorado. They are requesting schools (parents, staff, students) share a teacher testimonial with them about why they their love their charter school teacher.

Please fill out this form   to share why your CCA teacher is special and how they make a difference in the lives of their students. When you complete this form, the teacher you are boasting about will be entered into a drawing to win a $250 travel voucher. We want our teachers to know how much we value them and the work they do each day to positively impact children's lives.  For more information, please click here or visit https://coloradoleague.org/page/charterweek?_zs=6prkX&_zl=sj3b1.
