Congressman Alan Lowenthal visits our 6th Grade App-Developers!
Our 6th grade students in Mr. Danforth's STEM I class participated this year in the Congressional App Challenge. The Congressional App Challenge is a national effort to promote critical thinking and computer science at every grade level. The McAuliffe STEM I students designed apps to solve a real world problem as part of the congressional effort to further student exploration of Computer Science, teamwork, and design thinking.

Last Friday, Congressman Lowenthal came to McAuliffe to recognize these students. He presented to the 55 students that participated and recognized them for their ingenuity, creativity, teamwork, and innovation. It was a great day for these students!
