RSVP and Volunteers Needed for the
Douglas Spring Carnival on March 24 @6:30-8:30pm
The Douglas Spring Carnival, previously known as the Ice Cream Social, will be on Friday, March 24 from 6:30-8:30pm. We will have various food trucks in the bus loop for purchase. The cafeteria will be open with space for eating.
Musical Squares is on! If you want to participate, you must bring a sweet treat (store-bought baked good) and lots of quarters too! To play Musical Squares, follow these simple steps:
1) Drop off your store-bought sweet treat to the treat table
2) Pay your quarter to play each round
3) Stand on a square with a number
4) When the music starts, move in a circle to the next squares
5) When the music stops, a number will be called
6) If you are standing on the number called - you win!
7) Winners can pick up their prize at the treat table
We will also have some quiet activities and a chance to win small prizes with carnival games and bingo.
We still need lots of volunteers (parents, family members, older siblings) to take a shift and run games and activities. SIGN UP TODAY: https://tinyurl.com/DouglasSpringCarnivalVolunteer

The Douglas Post Office is BACK!
We’re excited to bring back the beloved Douglas Post Office with the 6th graders running it :) Mail can be sent both within the school and through USPS! If you (or your kids) want to send mail within the school, there is a mailbox up on the third floor of the school that you (or they) can drop mail in. It's the big blue mailbox from the old building and it's at the top of the main staircase by the elevators. Just make sure it has the name of the person who should receive the mail (student or teacher) and also the room number.
If you (or friends, grandparents, etc.) want to send mail through USPS, just include the student's name and room number (or teacher name) and the Douglas mailing address:

Douglas Teacher Wish List on Amazon
Check out our Wish Upon a Star wish list here. Looking for ways to support our teachers this year? We have put together an updated Amazon Wish List that includes various items our teachers have wished for. If you would like to help make some of the wishes come true and support our teachers and students, please pick an item or two from the list to donate. The items will be shipped directly to the coordinator, who will then organize, label, and deliver them safely to the school. For questions, please contact Emmy Whitney at emmywhitney@yahoo.com or 617-633-1862. Thank you!
