Virtual Board and Committee Meetings

To all Multicultural Country Leads,

Once again thank you so much for doing an incredible job representing your country for CCA Multicultural Event! 

This is a friendly reminder regarding reimbursements from the Multicultural Festival.

Please follow directions below: (Both steps will have to be complete in order to get the reimbursement).

Reimbursement requests must be received by Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

Board Election:
The 2020 CCA Board Election will begin on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 and will end on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

There are three open positions on the Board for the 2020 Election. The term for each Board position is three years.

We have streamlined our submittal process and we are utilizing the Google Forms platform.

To submit a Candidate Nomination and Biography form, please click here .
This form is due TODAY by 3:00 pm.

In order to better understand the roles and responsibilities of Board candidates please review the Candidate Eligibility Requirements listed below:

  • Potential candidates must attend a minimum of two (2) regular CCA Board meetings during the nine (9) months prior to the April Board meeting.
  • Potential candidates must interview with at least one (1) current Board member prior to the nomination form submittal deadline.
  • Potential candidates must agree to complete all required "Board modules" if elected. They must also agree to abide by the Code of Conduct, Duty of Care and Loyalty and Conflict of Interests policies.

  • Potential candidates must agree to abide by the CCA Non-Negotiables.
  • CCA staff members and spouses of CCA staff members are not allowed to run for the CCA Board.
  • Only one parent or legal guardian per family may serve on the CCA Board at the same time.
  • In order to be eligible to run for the CCA Board, candidates must have at least one student who is returning to CCA for the 2020-21 school year.
  • In order to be eligible to run for the CCA Board, candidates must have completed and have documented at least 50% of their annual volunteer hours by the time of nomination. If you have questions about your volunteer hours, please contact Chelsea Anderson, CCA's Communications Director, at

CCA Students Featured in Curtis Center's Virtual Art Gallery
Because the Curtis Center for the Arts had to close its doors in mid-March do to the recent health crisis, the exhibit has been moved online. Please enjoy this virtual gallery of works from over 900 talented young artists. Schools are listed in alphabetical order. CCA's section is quite impressive!
Congratulations Mathletes!
During a math competition in February, CCA 6th- 8th graders came in the top 10 schools in the League for all the three grades.

We also had some students who were in the top 35 in the League!

Grade 6 placed 7th overall.

Volunteer Update
Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers. This year we had 8,286.12 hours logged!

Due to recent circumstances, we are waiving the remainder of required volunteer hours for the 19-20 school year.

Community News & Resources
Free Meals from CCSD
CCA students are invited to receive breakfast and lunch distributions. C CSD will provide free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meals to kids 18 and younger, including our CCA students.

S tudents will receive meals for Monday and Tuesday on Monday, for Wednesday and Thursday on Wednesday, and for Friday on Friday.
