A Message from Dr. Schultz
Dear CCA Community,

As you know, the issues the community and our school face this year are complex and ever changing. It is important to all of us that we are thoughtful about how decisions are made, particularly as the guidance continues to evolve, and that the CCA Board is having open, transparent discussions about the way in which we are evaluating information as it comes. To that end, we encourage everyone to attend the August 4, 2020 Board meeting at 6:00 p.m. either in person or via Google Meets.  

Individuals who attend in person will be asked to complete a self-assessment wellness check prior to entering the meeting and all participants are required to wear a mask. Our capacity for in-person meetings is limited by social distancing space requirements that are in place. We anticipate being able to accommodate 30 individuals in person for this meeting. Our Board Meetings can also be accessed online via our Google Master Calendar on our website.

Back to School Used Uniform Sale: THIS WEEK!

We are now accepting used uniform donations! Please drop off in the CCA front entrance Monday - Friday anytime between 7 am - 3 pm starting July 20, 2020. Don't forget to wear your mask when you donate.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to school! Come replace the uniforms that your kiddo(s) outgrew this summer while supporting your PTO.

Masks and social distancing will be required. Due to Covid, NO CASH will be accepted. Checks accepted. Credit Cards accepted through RevTrak.
Champions After School Care: Cancelled
CCA we will be following the CDE guidelines and we will be cohorting all of our students into grade level groups all day. That means that our students will stay in their grade level groups and will not intermix with other grade levels. Champions cannot provide those same standards. Champions would need to have 9 rooms with 9 staff members to keep our K-8 students apart. That is not possible. While we value the service provided by Champions and we hope in the future we can resume our partnership with them, at this time we will not be offering Champions after school child care services.  

In addition, we are not offering any after school clubs or activities for students so that our cleaning crew will be able to enter CCA and prepare for the next day. With additional cleaning requirements this will take additional time.

School Supply Lists
Our teachers have worked hard updating our school supply lists to best prepare our students for successful in-person learning in the fall. You will notice a few important additions including art supplies that will make it possible for each student to have individual supplies. We have eliminated P.E. uniforms for this year and students will not be required to change out for gym class.

School supply lists can be accessed here, on our homepage, and on our mobile app.

Please note we will not be having a school supply fundraiser this year and school supplies cannot be shipped to CCA. All fundraising was stopped in the spring of 2020. This year we also want parents to purchase school supplies and label all school supplies for their child so that your child’s name is on everything. We will not have a lost and found. Supplies will not be shared in any classroom this year

Summer Learning Extension Activities & Private Tutoring
Some of our staff are offering private tutoring for CCA students. For more information, please click here .

In addition, Our teachers have compiled many different resources to foster learning this summer including, Summer Extension Activities , Readiness Packets , and Required and Recommended Reading lists .

Cherry Creek School District has also created a great website with resources for students.
Tdap Required for 6th Graders
Please make sure your children are immunized and receive their Tdap booster. Your child's pediatrician can provide you with a copy of your child's immunization records that can be emailed to Nurse Jayne at jbauer@cherrycreekacademy.org.

Are you interested in being a Substitute Teacher or Substitute Assistant/Supervisor at Cherry Creek Academy? 

Do you hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher? If you do you are eligible to apply for a Three Year Substitute Authorization through the Colorado Department of Education. Click here to access the application link.

If you do not hold a Bachelor’s degree, but you are a High School graduate, you are eligible to apply for a One Year Substitute Authorization through the Colorado Department of Education. Click here to access the application link.

Daily Rate: $110/day.

Upon receipt of your initial licensure, and 5 days of working as a substitute at CCA, CCA will reimburse you for the cost of your licensure.

Free Summer Meals Program
CCSD will provide two free, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at six sites across the district. A bag of fresh fruit will also be distributed every Friday. Cherry Creek Academy families are welcome to attend. Please click
