The CCA Board of Directors Vacancy Committee is soliciting nominations for open board positions. Vacancies occur on the Board most often when a member leaves the school or is unable to continue to serve due to personal or professional reasons.

A vacancy is different than an open election. CCA Board members serve three-year terms. A vacancy is tied to the exiting board member’s term length. The new board member will serve out the remainder of the vacating member’s term. Currently, one vacancy position is for one year of service remaining (through June 2021) and the other is for three years of service remaining (through June 2023).

If you are interested, please click here to complete the Nomination Form.

You are also welcome to click here to submit questions to the Vacancy Committee. Click here to download the Board Frequently Asked Questions document. The Timeline for the Vacancy Committee Process is as follows:

  • Monday, September 28, 2020 at 5:00 pm: Nominations Due
  • Vacancy Committee Review Process Begins
  • Committee Recommends top candidates to the Board
  • Upon recommendation, Board votes on final candidates at next meeting

Thank you,

Vacancy Committee

Parent Teacher Conferences will be on October 1, 2020 from 5 - 8 pm, and on October 2, 2020 from 8 am - 12 pm. There will be no school for students on October 2, 2020.

October's Parent Teacher Conferences will be virtual this year in order to promote safety and ensure that we are following the guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and other guiding agencies.

This year's 5th and 6th grade virtual parent teacher conferences will be conducted by homeroom teachers for up to fifteen minutes. During this time, 5th & 6th grade homeroom teachers will give general information about student progress across all core subjects. Please select the signup genius link with your child’s homeroom teacher and select one slot per child. For those in multiple household families, we ask that both guardians join the same Google Meet when possible. 5th & 6th grade teachers would also like to request that students are present during their conferences.

This year’s 7th and 8th grade parent teacher conferences will be in 5-minute time slots conducted by each content teacher. Conferences will be held virtually through Google Meet. In an effort to create quality conferences and allow each family the ability to meet with their students’ teachers, we ask that you limit your conference selections to 3 core teachers. For those in multiple household families, we ask that both guardians join the same Google Meet when possible. 7th & 8th grade teachers would also like to request that students are present during their conferences.
Traffic Reminder
To ensure our K-4 student safety during dropoff and dismissal, we ask that our K-4 families please follow all traffic guidelines outlined on our website. In addition, please remember to:

  • Pull as far over to the right side as possible so you are not blocking a lane of traffic.
  • DO NOT block intersections or driveways.
  • DO NOT stop on the crosswalk.
  • The speed limit is 20 mph.
  • Children should be ready to get out of the car immediately after the stop sign at Caley and S. Elmira Circle. Students should have masks on and their items gathered in order to quickly exit the car.
  • Our drop-off in the morning begins at 7:20 am. You can drop your child off anytime after 7:20 am. Our Free Breakfast is served to students who are in their classrooms by 7:45 am.
  • School begins at 8:00 am. We have separate entrances for every grade level so that each cohort stays separate from each other. We need all students to be able to enter the school at their designated door. Our 2nd and 4th grade students walk to the back of the building to enter the school. Please make sure that your child has enough time to walk to their classroom and be ready to begin class by 8:00 am.
