Since charter schools like SA do NOT receive funding for land, facilities, transportation, special programs, or for teachers with advanced degrees, funds from our annual campaign help our school maintain our current programs and services for the benefit of our highly gifted children.
Thanks to the collective support of our SA community, we are on our way to reaching our annual campaign financial goal!VY854 To help our school budget accordingly, we ask that all pledges be fulfilled on or before May 15, 2022.
SA family pledges due $72,134
Match gift pledges due $68,295
Total pledges due $140,429

If you have any questions and/or any changes to your pledge, please reach out to Toni Hemming at themming@scholarsacademy.org.
As always, thank you for your support! Together, we really do make a difference!

Tuesday, April 26: Farm Day (dress as a farmer or your favorite farm animal)
| | |
|
Night of the Arts is an annual spring tradition at Scholars Academy that we are so excited to bring back this year! The Scholars Academy community gathers to celebrate the talents of our students in the visual and performing arts. The 2022 Night of the Arts will be held on:
Thursday, May 5
5:15-8:00 PM
Christ Lutheran Church
4545 Providence Road
| | |
Note: Please allow ample travel time as rush hour traffic is heavy in the venue area.
Ticket Sales
In lieu of an art sale, tickets to the event will be sold. Tickets will be $6.75 per adult and children are free. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards funding the art and music programs, as well as contributing towards the facility funds for the Night of the Arts venue. Ticket sales will be through the school and available for purchase prior to the event. Please be on the lookout for information and a link in an upcoming newsletter to purchase your tickets!
Visual Arts Exhibition
The evening opens with a student art exhibition on the first and second floors of the Christ Lutheran Church lobby from 5:15-5:45 PM. All Scholars Academy students will have an original piece of artwork on display. Please arrive early to enjoy the amazing talents of our art students. This year, the artwork will not be part of an art sale. Please plan to view your child's/children's artwork during the art show and then pick up the piece(s) at the end of the night, after the musical performances.
Music Performances
Every grade level K-4 and the middle school chorus and band will be presenting music performances that they have worked on especially for this evening. EVERY child's efforts are needed to make the performances work. Every child deserves to have his/her talents seen and appreciated. Please make every effort to be present for the art show and the musical program.

Lost and Found - Is your child missing something?
Since our December lost and found event our students have lost quite a few new items! We would like to have another "lost and found" display in the parking lot at drop off the week before Spring Break.
However, we need some assistance hanging up the items and rolling out the carts. Please take a look at the sign up to see if when you might be able to help.
| | |
|
If we can get the items outside, we might be about to get them to their proper home!
Ms. Reynolds also needs some assistance cleaning/organizing the media center closet. You may use the same sign up link (above) to lend a hand with this project.

In just 3 weeks, we’ll kick off our Scholars Academy Fun Run on April 20th! Our goal is to raise $12,000 for the Spring Social, Teacher Appreciation and Specialty Programs, and to strengthen our school community. This year more than ever, we need additional funds to provide an excellent educational experience for all of our students. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting!
All students will participate in the Scholars Academy Fun Run, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone.
We appreciate your support more than you know. More details to come as we get closer to kickoff!
