The Week Ahead

Thanksgiving week is here, and along with the food and time with family comes the opportunity to reflect and be thankful. We are so thankful for our members and community partners, and we wish each of you a safe and happy holiday.

This week is also the kick-off to the busy holiday shopping season that includes Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday. We want to encourage everyone to refer to the Daytona Regional Chamber's online membership directory before you head out to shop. Shopping local builds up our community in so many ways!

The Chamber office will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, in observance of the holiday. We look forward to welcoming the month of December when we return to the office, Monday, December 2.

Things to Share: Important Surveys

Your Voice, Your Future: 2025 Legislative Priorities Survey

With the 2025 Florida Legislative Session starting in early March, the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce is interested in hearing from our members to understand what priorities are essential to them. Please rank your major priorities so the Daytona Regional Chamber can champion them during our 2025 legislative session. Click HERE to take the survey. If you have any questions, reach out to David Robinson at david@daytonachamber.com.

Volusia County Emergency Management Survey: December 1

Volusia County Emergency Management is in the process of updating the Local Mitigation Strategy Plan and the Floodplain Management Plan. Understanding historical flooding is a key component for creating successful plans. A requirement of each plan includes public participation. One segment that is lacking in participation is the business community. The survey is open until December 1, so please don't delay.

The business survey can be found at: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/2132862d905a439280af88ca995e911b

If you have questions, please reach out to Aubrie Austin, Volusia County Emergency Management Operations Coordinator, at alaustin@volusia.org or 386.254.1500, ext. 11625.

One Table Community Dinner

“The One Table Community Dinner event was one of the most unique events I have volunteered at or attended. I met several new people and really got to know them over dinner. It was a much richer experience than other events.

The setting was lovely at night. The food was excellent, and since I was a “Celebrity Server…” well, let’s just say I performed my duties without dropping or spilling anything!

I hope the Chamber will hold this event again next year. If they do, I will be there."
