The Week Ahead

With holiday fun and around every corner, we are in the midst of the busiest season of the year! This week there are multiple ways to engage with your fellow Daytona Regional Chamber members.

Plan to join us Tuesday, December 10, for our Holiday Business After Hours. Wear your favorite "ugly" Christmas sweater to the Coyote Ugly Saloon from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Don't forget to bring your donation for the Council on Aging. Protein drinks like Ensure, Boost, or another store brand, and Depends, or other store brands, will be collected and distributed to the elderly who are in need. Attendees who bring a requested donation will receive a complimentary admission for a 2025 Business After Hours event or their choice.

The Leadership Daytona Reunion will be held December 11. Don't miss this chance to reconnect with your fellow Leadership Daytona classmates.

Thursday, December 12 is the date for the final session of our Tapping Into Issues 2024 series. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from General Ernie Audino, District Director for U.S. Congressman Michael Waltz (FL6).

Finally, make sure you give a shout out to our newest members on the Chamber's social media platforms. You'll also want to read the tips for maximizing your membership ROI. Let's face it...we are all busy and the tips we'll be sharing over the next few weeks are great for both new and more "seasoned" members alike.

We hope that you enjoy the week ahead!

Tips to Maximize Your Membership

Hey there, busy members!

We see you. You're juggling inventory, payroll, marketing... the list never ends. And we keep sending emails about events you don’t have time to attend, right? While these events can be incredible opportunities to learn and grow professionally, we understand that “getting together” isn’t always a possibility.

However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get solid return on investment when it comes to your Chamber membership. There are plenty of ways to squeeze every drop of value out of your membership even if you are super busy, or if you're a new member who doesn't know where to start.

Networking events are great. We have some of the best. But they're not the only way to make the most of your Chamber membership. Over the next few weeks, we will share tips to help you get the best ROI from your membership. Check out this week's tips below.

Become a "Digital Mingler"

If you don’t have time for in-person networking, try making your digital presence known through:

  • Online Directory Domination. Make sure your Chamber directory listing is polished to perfection. Add high-quality photos, a compelling description, and links to your website and social media. You can update this as often as you’d like. There may also be opportunities to upgrade your listing.

  • Social Media Savvy. Engage with the Chamber's social media posts. Comment, share, and tag other members. The Chamber has a broad reach in the region. Becoming a social media “frequent flyer” will help people get to know you and check out your platform.

Reach out to Kelly Amy, Director of Member Engagement and Communications, at kelly@daytonachamber.com to find out all the ways that you can engage as a member and maximize your membership.
