Eggs & Issues County Chair Candidate Forum

"I had the pleasure of attending Eggs & Issues at the Halifax River Yacht Club and was very impressed with the event. I left surprised. I had come in, feeling like I knew 2 candidates well, and 2 not so much.

I left, not only having my initial vote swayed, but also wanting more information regarding the two candidates that I thought did the best job…and the one I had initially been pulled towards, discouraged me to rethink my ballot.

I was able to hear all four candidates discuss their political views clearly and calmly, and also had the chance to meet them in an inviting, well attended space. Each candidate had the same questions, the same amount of time, and for the most part gave their vision for the County. All four were respectful to each other, and you rarely felt much hostility between candidates.

These are great events to learn about our local political leaders, their vision for the future, and how it will impact our community in years to come."
