Your Week Ahead

This is an exciting week for the Daytona Regional Chamber that kicks off with a Ribbon Cutting for the new business, PopStroke, followed by the Tapping Into Issues series finale with Mark Wilson, and finally the week will wrap up with the graduation festivities for the Leadership Daytona Class XLIV. As the month of September races to a close, it's time to start planning for what's coming up in the month of October.

Our first event of the month is Hob Nob, held October 3, at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Attendees can talk to the candidates and take part in a straw poll. Register today to secure your spot.

Join us for a lively discussion as we wrap-up our Tapping Into Issues series on the state of politics with Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. We will “tap” into issues with a complimentary drink and light refreshments provided by S.R. Leadership Daytona Graduation: September 27

Celebrate the newest cohort of community leaders at the graduation and luncheon honoring Leadership Daytona Class XLIV. A gathering of family, friends, colleagues, and Leadership Daytona Alumni will enjoy the recognition of the graduates including a presentation on their Leadership Daytona experience. Join the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Volusia Young Professionals Group for Hobnob 2024 presented by AdventHealth. Business Links Golf Tournament: October 4

The Business Links Golf Tournament will be held Friday, October 4, 2024. The tournament is presented by Brown & Brown Insurance and hosted at the beautiful Plantation Bay Golf Course. There are a few spots available. Reach out to Nicole Bosley at nbosley@daytonachamber.com.

Lunch with Leaders: October 10

This exclusive Lunch with Leaders event provides an intimate opportunity to connect with Preston Root and share your business or organization amongst a group of like-minded professionals while engaging in thought-provoking conversations and exchanging ideas with a respected community leader. This opportunity is only available to active members of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. Annual Awards Luncheon: October 29

Our fantastic award winners have been announced! It's time to buy your tickets for the Annual Awards Luncheon that is centered around celebrating the awardees. Individual tickets are available, as are sponsorships that include 6 or 8 tickets along with inclusion in the marketing of the event. Celebrate Volusia: October 6

The Daytona Regional Chamber will have a booth at the upcoming Celebrate Volusia expo. The community event will showcase all that Volusia has to offer, from beautiful beaches to cultural landmarks, and everything in between. Volusia County Schools Workforce Expo: October 29

Volusia County Schools is hosting a College and Career (CTE) Workforce Expo on Tuesday, October 29th. The Expo aims to connect high school seniors with potential employers and provide them with insights into various career paths and industries. Your participation would be invaluable in helping students explore their future career options and better understand the skills and qualifications needed in today’s job market. Get Informed with the Volusia Emergency Management App


The Volusia County Emergency Management app contains advanced features that strive to help keep the citizens of Volusia County prepared and informed about any emergency at hand.


The home screen gets you as much information as possible through social media posts, push notifications, and news blogs. You also have access to submit damage reports, get contact information, and access our social media pages.

The map feature contains information like a weather radar, emergency shelter information, evacuation zones, and evacuation routes for Volusia County.


The emergency plan feature contains an area for you to keep up with your emergency checklist, your emergency contacts, preparedness information before an event, and information on what to do during and after an event along with the ability to share your location to a group of users that you select.


The news feature shows a history of your push notifications received through the app as well as news posted through the app. You can also receive NWS Weather Alerts as push notifications through the app.
