Your Week Ahead

A total of four ribbon cutting events will take place this week. This fantastic business growth includes members who are either opening brand new locations or members who are completely renovating existing locations. Please join us in celebrating these milestone occasions.


If you haven't registered to attend Tapping into Issues, take a few minutes to lock in your seat. U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Moore Hallmark will be the speaker at the August 13 event. Topics will include examining all things politics from a national perspective.


The August 20 Primary Election is upon us. Don't forget to take a look at the 2024 Election Voter Guide as you consider your choices at the ballot box.


We invite you to take an active part in the Daytona Regional Chamber's Strategic Planning process. The Chamber exists to serve each of you, our members, and over the next few weeks we'll be asking you to answer a few short questions right here in The Edge. Your answers will help us form the next iteration of our three-year plan.


With our beautiful building renovation behind us, we are excited set our sights on the future and how we utilize this space. Our primary mission will continue to be supporting our members, so businesses of all sizes continue to grow and thrive. We know that great things are ahead for our business community and region! The Legacy Lab is an innovative do-it-yourself space for digitizing various audio/visual media formats, as well as scanning documents, slides, and negatives.


Patrons can transfer the following formats to a USB drive: VHS and VHS-S, Photos & Papers, 3.5" Floppy Disk, Audio Cassettes, 35mm Negatives, 35mm Slides, Vinyl Records, 8mm, & Super8 Reels.


Available by appointments of two-hour blocks, however, all transfers are real-time, so if you have a three-hour VHS tape you want to convert to a digital file, let the library staff know that your appointment time will be longer.


Legacy Lab services are available at the Daytona Beach Regional Library, Deltona Regional Library, Ormond Beach Regional Library, and the Lake Helen Public Library.
