New Interim Organist

It is with sadness that we announce the resignation of our organist and choirmaster, Nick Mynyck. Nick was able to secure another position which offered more hours and benefits. His last Sunday with us will be August 31^st. Nick accomplished much in the short time he was with us and I know that you join me in gratitude. He will be missed. His letter of resignation is presented below. 

We have been able to secure an interim organist and choir director for the upcoming program year. Luke Staisiunas comes to us from St. Timothy’s in Roxborough, PA. He is not only an accomplished organist, but also a pipe technician, who works on the Wanamaker Organ and other prominent instruments in the region. Luke will begin with us on September 1^st.

New Parish Administrator

We are delighted to announce that Karen Ledden has accepted the position of full-time Parish Administrator.

Karen brings a wealth of experience in office management, having worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations and local businesses throughout the region. Her strong administrative background and warm spirit make her a wonderful addition to our parish staff.

Karen will officially begin on August 18th and will work alongside Betsy for two weeks of training and transition. Betsy’s last day will be August 29th, and we are deeply grateful for her dedicated service.

Please join us in welcoming Karen to our community!

ECW - Episcopal Church Women

All women who attend Christ Church are considered members of the ECW. Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, have championed women’s rights and the Christian foundation of God and family. They are a ministry of the Episcopal Church and celebrate that Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 

Brotherhood of St. Andrew

Join The Brotherhood of St. Andrew for prayer, study, and service. The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is an international ministry of men within the Anglican Communion with the commission of spreading Christ’s kingdom among men and youth. The Mission of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew has been bringing men and youth to Jesus Christ since its founding in 1883. The Brotherhood in fulfilling its mission does so by following the three key disciplines of prayer, study, and service. Please plan on attending the 6:30 pm Mid-week Mass before the meeting.

Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries

Greater Cooperative Ministries needs our help. Donations are especially needed at this time due to continued high numbers of clients. What an impact Christ Church could make if each family set a goal to bring 1 (one) item to church every week.



Some special request items are:

• Hearty Soups
• Grape jelly
• Pasta & Sauce
• Powdered milk
