The Elephant In The Room
You might not know he\'s there!

But this elephant makes frequent appearances in my animal communication sessions when an animal is feeling unwell. Why? Because most of our dogs and cats are not being fed the vital nutrition that they require as a species.


You do your best. But here's the poop:


Dogs are carnivores. Cats are OBLIGATE carnivores. Dogs can masquerade as omnivores and still get into the party. Cats cannot. Cats also have acidic stomachs. Carbohydrate is ALKALINE. Cats also don't have amylase in their saliva to break down carbohydrates, which can lead to many digestive issues.



THE SKINNY ON THE ELEPHANT


Cats. need. MEAT. They were designed by their creator with sharp, pointy teeth to eat only meat. Yet we let them graze on "dry cereal" or pea protein? more fitting for a COW, an omnivore, who grinds his food to a pulp with flat teeth and digests it only after he has chewed it for days. Cats GULP down their food. Have you ever seen a cat's vomit? The kibble is coming up whole.

Most of our commercial pet foods, even the BETTER pet foods, especially kibble, are often lacking in sufficient, good-quality, species-appropriate protein.
EXPOSING THE ELEPHANT


  • The FDA does not pre-approve ANY pet food or pet product in the US.

  • The pet food industry is regulated by AAFCO, a non-government agency that creates guidelines for what "complete pet food means," but they don't oversee the enforcement of these guidelines.

  • The USDA does not inspect pet-food manufacturers for the quality or lack of quality of meat in pet food. Diseased meat is allowed to be rendered in the US, and it finds its way into some commercial pet foods.

  • "Natural", "Super-Premium", and "Prescription" are not regulated by AAFCO and therefor mean NOTHING.

  • Most conventional vets are not specialists in pet nutrition.

  • AAFCO requires only 26% protein in commercial cat food. And 18% for adult dog food: 26% for an obligate carnivore, and 18% for a carnivore.


DON'T BLAME YOUR ALWAYS-HUNGRY, NOT-FEELING-WELL PET.

Leprechauns In The Kitchen
I'm back to doing IN PERSON animal communication sessions again. It's been a whole lot of FUN as your pet's unique viewpoint never ceases to amaze me.

I was scheduled to visit a black cat named Cinder on a Saturday last month. As I always do, I connected with her at home via a photograph, to ask for a few pieces of evidence so her people would know I was really talking to her.


"WE HAVE LEPRECHAUNS IN THE KITCHEN"

Cinder told me "We have leprechauns in the kitchen!" It was the day after St. Patrick's Day, so I thought to myself "Of course you do, doesn't everybody?" This isn't really great evidence, Cinder. LOL But I wrote it down anyway,

When I got to Cinder's home, and stepped into the living room, I was greeted by a fireplace mantel full of stuffed GNOMES! But they weren't leprechauns. I laughed and shared what their black beauty had told me before I arrived.


CINDER TELLS THE TRUTH

"But we DO have leprechauns!" Her person validated. I just switched them out this morning. "The leprechauns are in my office now, but I had them in the kitchen this morning." Holy holiday fun! So I snapped a picture to share.

You can't make this stuff up: Next the woman's husband popped into the room to admit that HE was the one who told Cinder to share about her Mom's obsession with the GNOMES! They have a new display out for every holiday.
