Dear Albert,

Welcome if you're new here. I've been sending this newsletter out almost every month since November 2008!

My friend, Lori Stein (Charm School for Men), interviewed me for a new podcast she's started on Shouting Fire: Dating and the Interesting Man. The replay is right here. Check it out.

If you're in the Portland area you might like to know about Kanai Red Alaskan Salmon. It's a Community Supported Fishery! I've been supporting (buying their fish and spreading the word) for many years. Here's to Clint Benson and his family - happy fishing season! Contact Eecole to get in on a group order and save extra $.

Well, yeah, a whole lotta that ↑↑↑↑ - and now with Walz on the ticket, the Dems have some wind in our sails. What a difference a change at the top of the ticket and a couple weeks makes.

For the past couple months I've been sending out a periodic left-leaning political newsletter I call Best Laughs. Here's today's featuring Randy Rainbow. If you want to hop onto that list, click here and you'll be added automatically.

Well, it's been a HOT! Summer. Lots of festivaling. Lots of home time. I have a few more things coming up and luckily, I'm having lots of time to play music. This weekend my friend Kieran came to town and he and I played much music on the porch. It was a treat. We were also joined by Steve Bennett on the uke. Here's a pic of the two of them from yesterday. Ah, Summertime!

Here is some of what I'm up to this Summer. Please join me if anything here calls you! And, if you are a last-minute person and live in Portland, join my Tag Along at the Last Minute list! I'm usually down for being invited out to do things, too! Try me!

I'd also love to play a backyard house concert this summer - nothing has been booked yet!

8.17 - Bloomstead - I go on at 7:30 - variety show on a farm in Cully. 5817 NE Sumner St. - 2pm on.

8.20 - James T. and Friends at the Starday Tavern 6-9

Well, thanks for reading to the end. I hope things are going well for you. It's going to be an interesting Fall this year - especially on the local political scene where Portland is completely changing how and who we vote for. More on that next month.

Have a great month, I'll leave you with a neat song I've just heard for the first time, recently. Magnificent Sanctuary Band - Jerry Garcia

Albert PS - send your birthday to me to receive my annual birthday message on your special day!
