  1. Check for leaks once a month.
  2. Regular gutter and downspout cleaning protects your foundation.
  3. If you have a basement, keep your sump pump well-maintained.

Crucial Fire Damage Prevention Tips For Home Safety

Fire prevention should be at the top of your list to keep your family and treasured items in your home safe.

Installing and maintaining smoke detectors is crucial. Elite Recommendation: Use Daylight Savings to remember to test the alarm and change the batteries twice a year.

Kitchens are the #1 room fires start in.

To minimize your risk:

  • Keep a fire extinguisher within reach
  • Never leave a hot stovetop unattended
  • Store towels, oven mitts, and curtains away from the cooking area
