Budget Analyst

In her role for the College of Letters Arts and Social Sciences, Tiffany is responsible for budget administration and analysis for all CLASS operating accounts, serves as a resource on matters related to the college's operating budget, and oversees all college travel.
In her nomination, it was said that: "Tiffany does a great job of planning, organizing, and coordinating her work. She’s constantly involved in coordination of budget items such as start-up, travel and professional development, and various operating funds. She sees what needs to be done and takes appropriate action. She keeps the college projects organized and has helped coordinate the remodel of all of the college's department offices. In addition, Tiffany has played a huge role in streamlining policies and procedures for the college. She's very detail oriented, and very organized, which is much needed and appreciated."

BioTrek Curator, Ed Bobich, will teach us all about the majesty of nature as we take a journey through the Biotrek during October's Walk and Talk with a Leader. Check out the Mesozoic Garden which showcases plant life from the era of the dinosaurs. Find out where your favorite house plants came from and learn about how different native American plants are used. Join us for a chance to meet some of the tropical animals, including David Boa and CPP’s two Cuvier’s dwarf caiman crocodiles, Jacaré and Lara!

October is Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month
This cultural month was first celebrated in 1989 and honors the achievements and contributions of Italian immigrants and their descendants living in the United States. Events are held throughout the month to celebrate and educate the public about Italian-American history and culture.

Polish-American Heritage Month is celebrated in October by Polish-American communities. It was first celebrated in 1981 and is the perfect opportunity to learn about and celebrate Polish-American heritage and culture.

On this day, we celebrate our Nation’s German-American heritage and recognize the contributions of German-Americans across our country. This is a great opportunity to learn more about German-American heritage and about the foods and customs of Germany.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) celebrates the contributions of America's workers with disabilities past and present and showcases supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices. NDEAM recognizes the important role people with disabilities play in a diverse and inclusive American workforce. This year's theme "Disability: Part of the Equity Equation."

October 10th is Indigenous People's Day
This day honors Native Americans, their resilience, and their contributions to American society throughout history, even as they faced assimilation, discrimination, and genocide spanning generations. The idea to recognize October 10th as Indigenous Peoples’ day was first proposed by Indigenous peoples at a United Nations conference in 1977.

The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
The day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.

Congratulations to Victoria who was recently promoted from Student Assistant to HR Analyst for the Customer Service Center! Victoria's duties will include reviewing benefits enrollment and supporting documentation, providing general benefits information, providing general payroll support, coordinating, supporting employee/labor relations performance evaluations and providing general office and reception duties.
