EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Lissa Bilau Headshot

Lissa Bilau

Access & Accommodations Analyst

Disability Resource Center

In her role as the Access and Accommodations Analyst for the Disability Resource Center, Lissa assists faculty and staff with their policies and procedures. Lissa participates in outreach and tabling events for the DRC to assist incoming and current students. Additionally, she works with students daily on how to use their accommodations on campus.

In her nomination, it was said that, “Lissa is the first point of contact for all DRC students, parents/guardians, and faculty. She takes extra time to listen and ask good questions. She often will connect students to services beyond the DRC that can assist them with their success at CPP. Lissa has accepted being trained in almost every position at DRC - she is the DRC's "utility player"!"

Thank you, Krystal, for your 5 years of service and all you do for Cal Poly Pomona!

What do you like most about your job?

What do you like to do when you are not working?

What is a quick tip that you want the campus to know?

"It is in my nature to be helpful so working at the DRC allows me to help students on a daily basis. I love our team and our amazing student assistants."

"I love thrift shopping and going to see live music with my husband and friends (My husband also has a band). I love spending time with my kids. Since my husband and I have a lot of children and pets between us, we like to escape to Ventura or Pioneertown and stay a weekend now and then."

"Not all students have a disability that you can see. Know about our resources at the DRC so you can refer students that need to connect with us."

Is there an employee who you believe goes above and beyond for Cal Poly Pomona?
