Employee wellbeing is an umbrella term referring to the various aspects of an employee’s experience that supports their overall health and happiness, both within and outside of work. It comprises six dimensions: physical, mental, interpersonal, financial, purpose, and belonging.
Our team is looking to improve employee wellbeing, and we invite you to share your views on how Cal Poly Pomona is doing in prioritizing your wellbeing. Your voice plays a significant role in helping our organization grow and improve.

Craig LaMunyon
Interim Associate Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development

In this role, Craig oversees the Office of Research, where they assist individuals from across campus submit grant and contract proposals, maintain the integrity of human subjects and vertebrate animal research, and help faculty with the intellectual property associated with their research.
In his nomination, it was said that:
"every person he encounters, whether it is a student lost in a hallway, a faculty member, or the Provost, Craig always provides exceptional customer service and genuine kindness towards everyone. He boosts morale and creates a positive, inclusive work environment everyday. Craig goes above and beyond for his staff and embodies a level of professionalism, kindness, hard work, and leadership that should be replicated across the board."

What do you like most about your job?
"Helping others with the complexities of external funding, and learning about their scholarship."

What do you like to do when you are not working?
"I enjoy working on my own research, which focuses on how sperm cells decide when to become active. I am currently working with collaborators at NIH on a gene called spe-6, which has a human counterpart that is associated with Alzheimer's Disease. Apart from research, I enjoy mountain biking, playing basketball, and poking around in the Sierras."

This training will cover rules pertaining to time and attendance for staff/faculty.
There will be a demo of how to navigate throughout the various processes in PeopleSoft HR. This will assist new timekeepers and approvers with getting accustomed to their responsibilities. However, all timekeepers and approvers are welcome to join!

Educational Achievement
Stipend (EAS) Unit 4
Unit 4 employees who received a master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited institution between 7/1/2021 and 6/30/2022, and were employed at the CSU in a Unit 4 classification when they received the degree, are eligible for the EAS if they are on a payroll on 8/1/2022.
