New Team Member


We are happy to announce that Lexi Diniz has joined our EODA/HR Operations Team as a Communications Specialist Student Assistant and will be supporting The Employee Express as a co-editor!


Lexi is a second-year Communication major with an emphasis in Public Relations. She aspires to one day work for Rosenfield Media Group as a Publicist and then eventually own her own PR firm. A fun fact about her is that she has a TikTok famous corgi named Pepe!

Marissa Colon Garcia

Director of Development

In her role as the Director of Development for CLASS and CEIS, Marissa supports the deans, department chairs, and faculty of the colleges to initiate programs and efforts that generate an increasing number of gifts from private philanthropic funders including alumni, faculty, staff, corporate, foundations, and friends of the university.


In her nomination, it was said that, “Marissa works closely with the Dean and Department Chairs to define and prioritize funding needs. She strategically manages relationships through face-to-face visits with donors, prospects, and friends. Marissa oversees the design and execution of fundraising plans that includes special events, VIP and donor lunches and dinners, campus visits with the dean, team retreats, and meetings with initiatives that promote the engagement of donors and friends.”


Thank you, Marissa, for your 7 months of service and all you do for Cal Poly Pomona!

"I really enjoy working with individuals who wish to make a philanthropic contribution to the university that fulfills their personal goals or is meaningful to them. For example, donors who give in honor of their favorite faculty member or mentor. "

How to turn uncertainty into opportunity is a 2-hour session that focuses on the human reaction to change. When we recognize that change follows a certain pattern, we can learn to manage our reactions and understand how to navigate change. This allows us to intentionally determine how to best move forward, even in the most challenging stages.

Foothill Transit Bus

Silver Streak is at CPP


Beginning January 23, 2023, the campus community can catch the Foothill Transit Silver Streak bus right on campus, in front of the Student Services Building!


The Silver Streak is a premium rapid bus line that serves downtown Los Angeles, El Monte, West Covina, Pomona, and Montclair. The Silver Streak runs 24/7, with trips between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays stopping at Cal Poly Pomona as part of a pilot. Faculty and staff can purchase passes on the Foothill Transit website.
