As Concert Specialist and Publicist for the Music Department, Dalia Puentes brings creativity, warmth, and professionalism to every concert and event she manages. She oversees the planning, promotion, and execution of all departmental performances - coordinating event logistics, scheduling rehearsals, managing ticketing and front-of-house operations, and leading a talented team of student assistants. Dalia also directs the department’s publicity efforts by designing and distributing promotional materials, managing social media and the weekly newsletter, submitting events to campus and community outlets, and ensuring consistent, engaging branding across all platforms.
In her nomination, a colleague shared:
“Dalia consistently goes above and beyond in her role, embodying our Principles of Community through her dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit. Her creativity and attention to detail brighten up our department, bringing warmth and professionalism to every event and interaction. She is a joy to work with and a huge asset to our department, uplifting everyone around her with her positive energy and thoughtful contributions. Whether coordinating music events, supporting student engagement, or communicating with grace, she makes a positive impact every day.”

Get Ready for CHRS!
Exciting changes are coming! Cal Poly Pomona will launch the Common Human Resources System (CHRS) on March 23, 2026 (Note: This is an update from the original launch date of March 16, 2026). This modernized version of PeopleSoft will streamline HR processes across the CSU. Grief touches everyone, yet few workplaces offer a space to process loss together. Our campus is exploring the formation of an Employee Affinity Group: Peer Grief Support Group - a confidential and compassionate setting for faculty and staff to share experiences of loss and mutual support.
Facilitated by a certified grief support specialist with extensive experience leading grief groups, this peer-based space will focus on connection, reflection, and shared healing. Meetings may be held monthly during U-Hour.

This two-day event will highlight the Kellogg Honors College as a model for collaboration, inclusive mentorship and student success. Donations are accepted Nov. 3-18, 9 a.m. -4 p.m. at the Student Services Building East, Native American Student Center (26-105), or during the Harvest Dinner on Nov. 18, 6-9 p.m. in the BSC Ursa Major. | | Celebrate the season at the Annual Native Harvest Dinner on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6-9 p.m. in the Bronco Student Center - Ursa Major. Enjoy Native American foods, music, games, dancing, and special guests. Donations of school and hygiene supplies for students at Sherman Indian High School in Riverside are welcome.
