STAFF COUNCIL TOY DRIVE

Toy Drive Flyer

Staff Council is partnering with the Pomona Police Department to host a Toy Drive as part of the Pomona PD Santa Cop Program! We are asking the campus community to please donate new, unwrapped toys to help put a smile on a child's face this holiday season. Donation drop off will occur today, Thursday December 1 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in front of the Library & Starbucks on Cal Poly Pomona's campus.

Dr. Liane Hypolite Headshot

Dr. Liane Hypolite

Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership

In her role for the Educational Leadership Department, Liane teaches brilliant educators enrolled in CPP's only doctoral program - the Educational Leadership program. She supports students as they expand their understanding of equity-driven strategies and as they develop research method skills toward improving K12 and higher education institutions.


In her nomination, it was said that "Dr. Hypolite goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment. She is proactive in communicating with her students and employs numerous exemplary techniques that encourage classroom engagement. She fosters camaraderie and collaboration among CPP's eleventh cohort of doctoral students and keeps us on track as we learn quantitative methods with her this semester."

Faculty Director, Kenneth Lamb, and Administrative Coordinator, Jesus Brandon Bermudez Bautista, will showcase two spaces that the Student Innovation Idea Labs (SIIL) manages: the Maker Studio in the Library and the iLab in Building 1. Since its opening in 2015, the Student Innovation Idea Labs have served as a vital resource to our campus community that provide access to 3D printers, sewing machines, and more!

CPP Learning Has A New Logo


We are happy to announce that we now have a new logo for CPP Learning! CPP Learning is our learning management system where employees complete their HR Compliance training and have access to EH&S and Professional Development content. This is separate from LinkedIn Learning.

Veronica Gauna Headshot

New EODA/HR Ops Team Member


Veronica Gauna is one of our new Payroll Services Administrative Analyst Specialists!


Veronica's primary responsibilities are to maintain personal data and employment data in the PeopleSoft HCM database and in the State Controller’s Office (SCO) database for all CSU employees. In addition to that, Veronica's position processes, reconciles and audits pay and deductions for all categories of CSU employees.

Korina Gonzalez Headshot

New EODA/HR Ops Team Member


Korina Gonzalez is the new Fee Waiver Coordinator for the Benefits department!


She is responsible for explaining and reviewing the fee waiver benefits to employees (staff, faculty, FERP and their eligible dependents). Korina is responsible for interpreting and reporting taxation to the State Controllers Office and keeping record of of all transactions for auditing purposes. Korina also assists the Benefits team with Dependent Eligibility verification's and employee leave requests (maternity, medical, etc.) as needed.

Holiday Campus Closure


The campus will be closed from Monday, December 26, 2022 through Monday, January 2, 2023, except for critical operations. The campus will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
