EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Dory Hipolito

In her role within the International Programs Department, Dory is responsible for administering the day-to-day financial operations of International Programs; she monitors and manages the department's expenses, revenue, deposits, purchasing; and is the Concur e-travel designee. As the Timekeeper, Dory reviews all absence reports for the unit and is responsible for hiring student assistants as well.


Thank you, Dory, for your 6 years of service and all you do for Cal Poly Pomona!

In her nomination, it was said that, "During her time with University Accounting Services, Dory demonstrated exceptional work ethic, consistently producing high-quality work while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. She represented the department with excellence and provided outstanding customer service to the campus community, always displaying patience and a willingness to assist with inquiries related to travel, direct payments, and other invoices. The positive feedback she received over the years is a testament to her dedication and skill.


After transitioning to the International Center, Dory continued to deliver the same level of quality and service. She not only served students and the campus community with the utmost care but also contributed significantly to the department’s operations.


A specific example of why Dory deserves this nomination is her ability to provide exceptional customer service under tight deadlines. There were multiple instances where she managed to resolve complex inquiries efficiently, ensuring that all concerns were addressed promptly. Her proactive approach to fostering camaraderie within the team helped create a collaborative and inclusive work environment, which greatly boosted team morale.


Dory’s exemplary service, dedication to producing high-quality work, and her consistent willingness to go above and beyond make her an ideal candidate for the Employee Spotlight recognition."

The Student Timekeeping Training is hosted by Payroll Services and will cover the student employee time reporting process, and the department’s roles and responsibilities. A demo will be provided in PeopleSoft HR. All timekeepers and approvers are welcome to join. Please note that training is required before timekeeper or approver access is granted in PeopleSoft HR.

Each year, students, faculty, and staff engage in a shared reading experience, with activities and events designed to spark conversations that encourage exploration beyond the FYE courses, highlighting themes relevant to social trends and events.
