Flowers...with Personality!
Imaginary flowers... Some of these Flowers are inspired on real flowers (take a guess!) but I can't help changing them a bit... For instance, the Flower and its leaves, on the bottom left, came to mind after arranging a few pieces of broken shells...A curious observation by Sir Henry Cole, (a British genius of his time) who declared back in 1851 (at the time of the Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of all Nations, held in London's Hyde Park), "at seeing the textile designs of the time where flowers reigned supreme, to be non-innovative because they were taken directly from nature." Mine are not exact replicas, but Sir Henry, they are taken directly from Nature, naturally! (PS: I am a great admirer of Victoria and the Victorians !)
