Congratulations to Larry and Diana Leake on their purchase of Hardware Hank
Larry and Diana Leake stand in front of Douglas Hardware Hank. The Leakes are the new owners of the Hardware Hank stores in both Douglas and Glenrock.
"There is a lot that we want to do," says Larry Leake of he and his wife Diana's recent purchase of the Hardware Hank store in Douglas. "The best way to do that was to make it a hometown store."

Larry has been involved in retail for over 50 years and affiliated with United Hardware Distributors, the dealer-owned corporation associated with Hardware Hank, since 1990. As he was nearing retirement age, rather than slowing down he jokes that he and Diana instead decided to purchase the stores. They bought both the Douglas store and the Hardware Hank store in Glenrock.

Customers can expect to see new products, new signage, more employees, different categories in the store and the addition of appliances. They have also adjusted the store hours. The business is now open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Several special events are being planned for the
Douglas store. May 1 the store's greenhouse will open for the season. May 10, 11 and 12 there will be special sales for Mother's Day weekend. May 16, 17, 18 and 19 the Leakes will be hosting guests for their grand reopening. Larry says a lot is being planned, but that customers can expect to see great buys that will only be available that weekend, root beer floats, BBQs and more.

"We would like to congratulate Larry and Diana on their purchase," says Cindy Porter, Executive Director of The Enterprise. "Many in the community, given the great care with which the store has been managed by the Leakes, already thought they owned the store. We are anxious to see where they take the business in the weeks, months and years ahead."
