People from across Deanery 1 gathered at the Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park to welcome and celebrate the Diocese’s new bishop, the Rt. Rev. Antonio José Gallardo Lucena. Hosted by the Rev. Jamie Barnett, Vicar of Church of the Epiphany, and with the Very Rev. Melissa Campbell-Langdell, Dean of Deanery 1, the gathering was a joyful opportunity for clergy and laypeople to meet one another, welcome Bishop Antonio, and share in the life of the Diocese. SANTA BARBARA: Full Charge Bookkeeper. All Saints by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. Full-time (40 hours/week). Seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven individual to support the financial operations of our vibrant church and parish school. Responsible for leading day-to-day financial workflows, maintaining internal controls and transparency, including A/P, A/R, monthly financial reports, payroll, and budgets. LONG BEACH: Music Director / Organist – Choir Director. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is a welcoming, diverse faith community that values music as a vital part of our worship and parish life. Ideally, candidates will be accomplished organists, pianists, and choral directors, with experience in a variety of liturgical and cultural musical styles and digital tools. We seek a collaborative leader who works closely with clergy, staff, choir members, and parishioners, including our Spanish language music director and members of our Latino community. LAGUNA HILLS: Bass Section Leader. St. George's Church. Our strong and stable 16-voice choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 8:30am, beginning on September 13th. Eucharist is at 10am, and ends by 11:30am. In addition to Sundays, Christmas Eve 4pm, Holy Week, and 2 Sunday afternoon concerts are presented during the season.
