YOUTH NEWS
Grace Yatsko honored for service to community

All Saints' Grace Yatsko  received this week the first-ever Hawaii High School Humanitarian Scholarship through the Davis-Levin Livingston Charitable Foundation. Grace received a $5,000 scholarship in recognition for her exemplary community service involvement.

"It is clear that she loves the community she lives in and goes above and beyond to make a difference," said Mark S. Davis, one of the firm's founders. "She truly represents what this scholarship program is all about."

The $5,000 Hawaii High School Humanitarian Scholarship is an effort to notice and reward a graduating high school student who has been a leader in making Hawaii a better place.

"When you volunteer, you help change the world," Grace said. "It may not seem like you are, but even a small gesture can go a long way. It inspires others. Volunteering may seem like hard work, but hard work pays off. It's just a great feeling when you can help others and see what it has accomplished."

Grace will attend Western Washington University in the fall and major in English with a concentration in education.
SPECIAL ALOHA HOUR
Happy 4th of July Aloha Hour style

All Saints' annual Independence Day (4th of July) BBQ is this Sunday, July 2nd following the 9:30AM service. There will be plenty of food, drinks, and fellowship. It is a great opportunity to celebrate Independence Day with your Church 'Ohana.

If you would like to make a donation toward the cost of the barbecue, provide anything listed above, or bring something, please contact David Murray.
SUNDAY SCHOOL INFORMATION
Each week, The Epistle will highlight the upcoming Sunday School lesson from "Weaving God's Promises."

Summer Break for Sunday School

July 2nd - August 6th there is no Sunday School. This is a wonderful opportunity to share with our keiki the beauty and reverence of Sunday worship. Invite, embrace, educate, and empower the next generation of the Church to experience the Word and Sacrament of Christ.

The joyous sounds, movements, and curiosity of keiki are gifts from God. Please do not feel you have to subdue those joys in God's house. We want God's keiki to be comfortable. During the celebration of Eucharist, keiki are welcome to move closer to the altar or to stand on the pew to see what is going on.

The Nursery is open in Memorial Hall but is not staffed by volunteers. An adult family member will need to stay with their child. The audio of the service is broadcast into the Nursery.
HALE HO'OMALU COLLECTION
July collection

This month's special collection for Hale Ho'omalu, a family service center located 1/2 block away from All Saints', is Dry Goods (Pastas, Hamburger Helper, Rice, Bread, Crackers).

Hale Ho'omalu also needs and appreciates monetary donations as well as gifts-in-kind items. Every Sunday, all gift-in-kind donations can be left in the red wagon at the Church's entrance.
UPCOMING CONCERT

IN BRIEF . . .
These news briefs were featured in previous issues of "The Epistle."

FiF Dodgeball Returns
Kauai's premier family-centered sporting event returns for the 12th year on Friday, July 28th and Saturday, July 29th. The tournament annually draws teams from around the island, state, and even the mainland.   Player and team registration is open and online. The priority deadline is Friday, July 21 at 11:59PM. It is recommended that players and teams register early. Participants are NOT required to have a team when they register. Individuals who do not have a team will be placed on a team a week before the tournament starts.  The FiF Dodgeball Tournament is run solely by volunteers. This ministry welcomes the help of our All Saints' 'Ohana to make this year's dodgeball program another huge success. Volunteer roles include referees, tournament staff, gym supervisors, setup and breakdown assistance, and hospitality. FiF Dodgeball is supported 100% by monetary donations, gifts-in-kind, sponsorship, and grants. Participants play for free and no admission fee is charged to fans. We need the community's generous support.  For more information about FiF Dodgeball, please visit the  website .

Check in will be Friday at 3:00PM and check out will be Sunday at 11:00AM.  Registration forms can be download online  or picked up at the entrance of the Church. Forms are due by Sunday, July 16th. There will be no charge for the retreat, but donations to underwrite the weekend are always welcomed.  For more information and to view pictures of Camp Sloggett,  click here .
