Worship this Week
This week we celebrate the Seventh Sabbath of Easter. Worship this weekend will include a special blessing and recognition of HTLC members who are graduating from high school, college, and seminary this spring.
For the time being, we will gather virtually to worship together. Please click the "Worship Online" button below to access all the pre-recorded videos.

Worship Videos will be posted online by 5:00 pm on Saturdays so you can worship at a time that is most convenient for you. You may join us on Sundays at 9:00 am on our Facebook page to share "virtual worship" together.

You can download the bulletin by clicking on the link in the YouTube description. Prayer requests may be submitted online .
Thoughts from the Pastors & Staff
Face Masks and Freedom
A story; perhaps a parable.
Mike had been thinking about a thick, juicy steak at his favorite steak house ever since he heard that the governor was allowing restaurants to open again after all this coronavirus nonsense. Rib-eye. Medium rare. Onions, no mushrooms. Who made the governor God anyway? It was his right – his God-given right - to eat wherever and whenever he desired. He was unafraid of getting a bug, even if it really existed. If others were worried, that was their problem... READ MORE

Help with Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The north entry doors to the church will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, from 9-11 am to collect food and much-needed toilet paper for the Food Pantry.

Many of our food pantry volunteers are in the high risk age groups. We are looking for members of Holy Trinity who are not high risk for COVID-19 and are willing to help in the food pantry occasionally during this time of pandemic. If you are 18 years old or older, let Pastor Pam know of your interest and she will send you a background check to complete. Your job will be to obtain information from food pantry guests and load pre-assembled grocery bags into their vehicles. There will not be personal contact. Masks are required; gloves are provided. The food pantry is open on Tuesdays. Shifts are 12:00-2:00 pm and 2:00-4:00 pm.

Fill Helping Hand Food Boxes
Helping Hand Food Boxes  are a local initiative to fill special boxes with non-perishable food and personal hygiene items so that people in need can access them easily. Two boxes are located in our south parking lot. We are asking members to sponsor a box for a week or more; sign up online or contact the office.
Thank You for the Masks!
Lutheran Services in Iowa would like to thank the members of HTLC for your help in making face masks. Together with others in the community, we have received 2,051 masks to offer our staff and clients, many of whom work on the frontlines of the healthcare and packing industries. Your caring support will help keep them, their families, and our community a little safer.
How Can I Help?
We can all work together. Here are ways you can help:
  • Continue to donate to the Food Pantry! To collect food and much-needed toilet paper for the Food Pantry, we will open the doors each Monday from 9-11 am. If you prefer to give at other times, you may stock the Helping Hands boxes located in the south parking lot. Or, you can make a monetary contribution to the food pantry.
  • Continue to give your offering! Even though we don't have events happening in the building, we still have expenses. You may mail your offering or give online through Realm.
  • A new mailbox has been installed by the north doors. Please use this mailbox to drop off offering envelopes and monetary donations for the food pantry.
Give to Open Hearts. Open Doors.
God has given us much; blessed us with abundance. God has also called us to do much with what we have received.  Let's join together for this generous undertaking that will fill our city with grace, mercy, love and hope.
Support Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The north entry doors will be open  each Monday from 9:00-11:00 am to drop off donated items . If you prefer to give at other times, you can stock the Helping Hands boxes located in the south parking lot. You can also  make a monetary contribution to the food pantry .
The Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
  • Toilet paper
  • Frozen meat, 1-2 pound packages
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned beans
  • Peanut butter
  • Clean, empty plastic grocery bags
Donations of food have tapered off considerably as people stay home.
